morning prayers
Out ofPraise be to God: A Complete Catholic Prayer Book:
Morning prayers should include worship of the divine majesty, thanksgiving for his protection during the night, and consecration of the day to the service of God. Each day, as it comes, can be the last of our earthly lives. We should therefore try to keep it sinless and fill it with good works fruitful for eternal life. To that end, we must please our Heavenly Father and invoke His help and blessings on this day.
Upon awakening:
Immediately turn your thoughts to God and make the Sign of the Cross:
INthe name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
When you get out of bed:
INin the name of our crucified Lord Jesus Christ, I arise. May He bless me, rule me, keep me, and lead me to everlasting life. Amen.
As you kneel, try to put yourself in the presence of God and realize that He is in front of you and that He sees your every thought and is eager to listen and help you. Then say:
FKeep my mind, O Lord, from all distracting thoughts and enable me to pray with attention and devotion that I deserve to be heard by You. I offer you my prayers in union with that divine purpose with which you yourself praised God while you were on earth.

acts of faith, hope and charity
act of belief
ÖMEINGod, I firmly believe that You are one God in three divine Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I believe that your divine Son became man and died for our sins and that he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths that the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because You have revealed them, who neither can nor deceive.
act of hope
ÖMEINGod, I trust in Your almighty power and infinite mercy and promises and hope through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, to obtain the forgiveness of my sins, the help of Your grace and eternal life.
act of charity
ÖMEINGod, I love you more than anything, with all my heart and soul, because you are all-kind and worthy of all love. For love of You, I love my neighbor as myself. I forgive those who have hurt me and ask forgiveness of those I have hurt.

The heroic act of charity
ÖHEAVENLY Father, united with the merits of Jesus and Mary, I offer You for the poor souls in Purgatory all the satisfying works of my whole life, as well as all the satisfying works that will be offered for me after my death. I entrust these works into the purest hands of Mary Immaculate, to be applied to those souls who, according to her wisdom and motherly love, should be delivered first from purgatory. Accept this sacrifice graciously, O my God, and may it win me Your abiding favor. Amen.
Out ofPraise be to God: A Complete Catholic Prayer Book:
This act consists in offering to the Divine Majesty for the souls in purgatory all the satisfactions of our works and our indulgences throughout life, as well as all the voting rights that are offered to us after death. It is a commendable custom to bring this sacrifice through the hands of the Blessed Virgin Mary so that she may exercise our satisfaction as she chooses.
The heroic act is not a relinquishment of our merits, nor does it deprive us of the benefit of our prayers; but only a waiver of the remission of the temporal penalty for sin that would otherwise be due to us. On the contrary, whoever commits this act acquires special merit and the special blessing of God. It is good to renew it frequently. No particular word form is required, but [the above] may be used.

St. Patricks Brustpanzer
(Long 'Ancient' version)
IBIND to myself today
The strong name of the Trinity,
By calling the same
The three in one and one in three.
I tie that to me forever today
By the power of faith the incarnation of Christ;
His baptism in the Jordan
His death on the cross for my salvation;
His eruption from the spiced grave,
His riding up the heavenly way,
His coming on the day of death
I commit to myself today.
I bind the power to myself
Of the great love of the cherubim;
The sweet "well done" in the hour of judgment,
The Service of the Seraphim,
The faith of the confessors, the word of the apostles,
The prayers of the patriarchs, the scrolls of the prophets,
All good deeds done for the Lord
And purity of virgin souls.
I commit to myself today
The virtues of the starlit sky,
The life-giving ray of the glorious sun,
the white of the moon in the evening,
The flash of lightning free,
The stormy gusts of the whirling wind,
The stable earth, the deep salt sea
Around the ancient eternal rocks.
I commit to myself today
To hold and guide the power of God,
Watching His eye, His power to stay
His ear to hear my need.
To teach the wisdom of my God
His hand to guide, His shield to ward off;
The Word of God to give me language
His heavenly host shall be my guard.
Against the demonic snares of sin,
The vice that gives strength to temptation
The natural desires fighting within
The hostile men disturbing my course;
Or few or many, far or near,
In every place and at all hours,
Against their fierce hostility
I bind these sacred powers to myself.
Against all the spells and tricks of Satan,
Against false words of heresy,
Against the knowledge that defiles,
Against the idolatry of the heart,
Against the sorcerer's evil craft,
Against the death wound and the burning,
The suffocating wave, the poisoned shaft,
Protect me, Christ, until your return.
Christ be with me, Christ in me,
Christ behind me, Christ in front of me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ below me, Christ above me,
Christ at rest, Christ in peril,
Christ in the hearts of all who love me,
Christ in the mouth of friend and stranger.
I bind my name
The strong name of the Trinity,
By invoking the same
The three in one and one in three.
By whom all nature was created,
Eternal Father Spirit Word:
Blessed be the Lord of my salvation,
Salvation comes from Christ the Lord.
Amen.

Psalm 102 (to praise)
Psalm 102
Bless you soul.
Thanksgiving to God for his mercy.
[1] TO DAVID himself.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is in me bless his holy name. [2] Praise the Lord, my soul, and never forget what He has done for you. (3) Who forgives all your misdeeds, who heals all your diseases. [4] Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with mercy and mercy. (5) Whoever satisfies your lust with good things, your youth will be renewed like that of the eagle.
.(6) The Lord will show mercy and judgment to all who suffer injustice. (7) He made known his ways to Moses, his will to the children of Israel. [8] The Lord is merciful and merciful: slow to anger and of great mercy. (9) He will not always be angry, nor will he ever threaten. (10) He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor has he rewarded us according to our iniquities.
.[11] For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so is his mercy on those who fear him. (12) As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our iniquities from us. (13) As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; (14) for he knows our form. He remembers that we are dust: (15) Man's days are like grass, like the flower of the field, so shall he bloom.
.[16] For the spirit will perish in him, and he will be no more, and he will no longer know his place. (17) But the mercy of the Lord is for ever and ever upon those who fear him, and his righteousness toward children's children, [18] for those who keep his covenant and remember his commandments to do them. [19] The Lord has prepared his throne in heaven, and his kingdom shall reign over all. (20) Bless the Lord, all his angels, you mighty ones, and carry out his word and obey the voice of his commands.
.[21] Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his servants, who do his will. [22] Praise the Lord, all his works; in every place of his dominion, O my soul, praise the Lord.
